Fighting the weather in Mosel next week.
Another grey Friday in the beginning of December in Stockholm. Fortunate enough, I am travelling south on Monday! Not too far, however. Me and Markus Berres are going mountain-climbing in the vineyards of Ürzig in the Mosel. It might seem madness to go there this time of year but what can you do? Perhaps, I’ll even help out with some hard vineyard-labour, a good change of enviroment from the office work in Stockholm.
What else? Yes, the new tenders for Systembolaget came out this week. And there are mostly tenders for wines from, and I am not kidding, Brazil, Bolivia, India, China, Peru, Libanon and Uruguay! Well, I guess it is fantastic that Swedes get to try wines from these countries, how many of you have had a Sparkling wine from Peru?! Although it may not be up the alley of Bristly. I guess August will be one of the strangest monthly releases from Systembolaget so far, but it will be interesting.
