Gala première!
Finally!
It is a beautiful day in Stockholm today, it’s minus 5 degrees, not a cloud in the sky, a thick layer of new snow on the roofs and trees and the best, the long awaited website of Bristly Wine is launched!
Still there are loads of things to be corrected, especially text material. Some new producers will soon be added and pictures will be changed. If some of you winemaking guys and girls find facts in the portfolio section that are completely wrong, please email us!
But IT is on the air, and I dare to say it is among the finest of the website’s in the Swedish wine import business! (I might get angry mails for that). The aim is to give lots of space to our producers and our strong philosophy on wine.
I think we have really succeeded in theese matters and I want to give a big shout out to Magnus and Martin at Birth, who made this possible. The web site will be our main tool on the quest to grow on the Swedish market.
We have decided to use a blog instead of a regular “News” page. This is because we want to be more free, and outspoken. Sometimes even political (and hopefully a little angry). There are lots of (strange) things going on in the very regulated alcohol market in Sweden, that need to be dealt with and written about. We will also write about wine related subjects such as wines we drink (good or bad), travels in wine producing areas and restaurant visits home and away. Since we are hedonists at heart, it is our purpose to share the good life of food and wine to the world.
We want to take a little bit less “corporate” direction and try to be more personal. This is a red line through all parts in our daily work.
This blog will be in both Swedish and English, depending on the subject. This is because we want to be able to update our producers over the world on what is going on here in the dark, cold north. And hopefully we can give a picture of how it is like to work and live with wine in a country that doesn’t have a wine-production of it’s own and doesn’t have a wine drinking culture. And where all alcoholic beverages are more or less tabu. Here, you still get strange looks on peoples faces if you say that you sometimes drink wine on a regular Wednesday (he’s an alcoholic, for sure!).
It is great to invite you here to our virtual livingroom and we hope to see you here often, ’cause lots of things will be changing along the way. And there will always be interesting subjects to read about.
As we say in Sweden; Skål och välkommen!

Dear Gabriel,
It is really nice to see a fresh and reinvigorating blog, website and wine seller!
I wish a lot of success to bristly wine and trust that the way of the quality will always win.
All the best.
Julien.
