Swedish royalties drinking Rudi Pichler.

I recently received an email from Rudi Pichler containing an article from an Austrian newspaper. It told about the Swedish king Carl Gustav and queen Silvia visiting Austria.  Since I do not speak German I don’t actually understand what they did there.

But I understand which wine they chose to have with their dinner, because for some reason, the journalist had written it down. It was Weißburgunder Smaragd Kollmütz 2006 by Rudi Pichler. Excellent choice! I hope they took they time to reflect about the wine.

In my opinion, Rudi’s Weißburgunder’s might not be the most aromatically challenging wines of the range. But I believe they provide the most luscious mouthfeel. And they are terrific food wines! They have this tiny feel of residual sugar which makes it work great with Sushi or Crudo and food with a light, spicy character.

So I guess, in a way, we at Bristly can consider us Suppliers of the Royal House now! Or maybe not, but it is of course a good thing when the King decides to drink wines from one of our producers!
